Baseball in Manila
Last weekend while Max and I were enjoying some Punjabi culture, Jack and Mike were in Manila for a baseball tournament. Jack was invited back by his Hong Kong baseball team to join them on this trip, as he went last year and had such a fabulous time. It wasn't hard for Jack to make the decision on whether to go or not !!
The joys of being an expat and at an international school means that many of the sporting events are in another country. The boys have travelled to Shanghai, Shenzhen, The Philippines, Phuket, and that is only going to continue with both boys at Stonehill.
Jack hadn't played any baseball since May last year after he played in Shanghai and then broke his foot the day after !!! So, there was quite a bit of training to be done over the holiday period before they left last weekend.
Both Mike and Jack had a blast seeing friends and being part of the old team again. It has to be said that leaving the baseball team was one of the hardest adjustments that we all had to make from leaving HK.
Jack was lucky enough to spend some time on the way back in Hong Kong visiting his school friends and generally enjoying the ease of living in HK.
We are now all back to reality - back to school, back to work and settling in to life in Bangalore.
