Janta Curfew - 14 hours inside

The nationwide curfew today started at 7am and ended at 9pm.  14 hours of not leaving the house.   What is a family of 4 to do?  Sadly for you I documented our day.  It was the perfect day for a sleep-in for all of us and without the call to prayer from the nearby mosque and no one allowed outside, it was eerily quiet.  I have never heard it this quiet - just birds, squirrels and the occasional dog barking.  Oh, and then the children woke up and the silence disappeared.

We managed to only have one big fight amongst us for the day and today all is ok again.  I have tried to keep constantly busy, because if I sit still I think too much about it all gets too much for me.  The reality of not being able to leave our home, let alone the city or country makes for some not so good thoughts.

Our day was filled with playing games, baking cookies and making dinner, cleaning and washing and I even managed a workout - all without leaving our front door.

Unfortunately, this is likely to become the new norm here in Bangalore - there are talks right at this moment, that as of tomorrow we will be in lockdown.  What does that mean in relation to our community ?  I don't actually know……  will we be able to be outside but not outside the gates ?  That would be the best option for us - the boundary is just a little further afield than the front door.

Stay safe everyone !!

The front door - sadly we cannot go out :(
thank goodness for coffee !!!

A bit of putting practice

and of, course some backyard cricket
