New Artwork Addition
A couple of weeks ago Max and I visited a Fundraiser in the city which was raising money for 2 specific charities. The first was for Provision Asia which is a charity that raises awareness, funds and support for people with disabilities in our Indian State of Karnataka. It is a really fabulous charity and has a wide network here in Bangalore. Provision Asia: https://www.provisionasia.org
The second charity supported was CARE. This charity looks out for animals in need of rescue, has a clinic to assist and then adopts animals out, where possible. With so many street dogs in Bangalore in need of assistance, they are kept super busy. CARE Charlies Animal Rescue Centre: https://charlies-care.com
The fund raiser was selling paintings that had been done by novice painters in Bangalore. The one we chose (below) is a painting of Chandralekha Prabhudas Patel, who was a well known dancer and choreographer in India. Well known for her dance philosophy, which has now contributed to her teaching guide being used in a number of dance projects.
What a great way to help out the charities, learn some more Indian culture and also decorate our house.
